If you want something which tastes like strawberries, then this bar isn’t for you, as it’s simply just artificial and completely disappointing. Not sure what went wrong here, but I can safely say nothing went right!
Pandy is a company situated in Stockholm, Sweden and has built its success since 2015, adding more products to their range over the years. Although it hasn’t been reviewed here (yet!), I have tried another flavour from Pandy’s range and that was enjoyable. However, this bar went completely wrong! Considering the tiny 35g this bar weighs, I was glad it was so small, as it was over much quicker!
If you wanted to smell fresh, ripe, delicious strawberries, then don’t even bother smelling this bar. It doesn’t even come remotely close to how strawberries should smell! Instead, they have made this bar smell extremely artificial and false, which is pretty damn repellent! I was hoping that with white chocolate being another essential flavour they have labelled, that it would save the smell of the bar – I was wrong again! Both the inner and outer firmness of the bar isn’t too bad and I actually like the chewiness it packs. However, those crunchy sprinkles on the top are my worst nightmare. I find they really don’t suit any protein bar’s texture and they add a horrible, unnecessary crunch to what would have been a nice chewy consistency.
Bright white chocolate covered in pink sprinkles – shame this protein bar tastes bitter and oversweet!
If artificial and bitter flavours are what you tend to go for, then please knock yourself out with this bar. However, I’m going to jump to the conclusion that they aren’t! This Pandy Strawberry White Chocolate protein bar isn’t comfortable to eat in the slightest. It’s false, oversweet, bitter and leaves a horrible aftertaste in your mouth. Add all these elements in with the sprinkles I talked about above and you have a bar which I advise running away from and not towards!
This Pandy Strawberry White Chocolate protein bar definitely isn’t something which I would be able to consume another of straight away, if ever! That’s me being happy it’s 35g. Imagine if it was a full 60g bar, I would be crying! The macros are pretty much the only good thing about this bar!
A tiny 35g Pandy Strawberry White Chocolate protein bar contains 131kcal, 5.3g fat, 12g carbs (of which 1.2g sugar) and a decent – considering its weight – 12g protein. These macros are good, but most people would class this size of a bar as a ‘filler’ between meals rather than something which will keep them full for a long time. As far as the ingredients go, they have thrown in palm fat, which instantly knocks it down major points! They have redeemed themselves a little bit by using natural flavours – but to be honest, this doesn’t save the bar, not even close!
This bar is artificial, bitter and very small. Overall, wholly disappointing and I wish I hadn’t bothered!
This Pandy Strawberry White Chocolate protein bar is small in size but does pack some decent macros. However, it surely didn’t taste anything like strawberries or white chocolate and was simply disappointing! The only proper thing about this bar was the chewiness. Still, that was soon ruined by the crunchy sprinkles! Overall, be grateful I’ve eaten this, so you don’t have to bother!
Is this Pandy Strawberry White Chocolate protein bar going to pass my lips again? Surely not! I’d much rather not have the added protein and eat fresh strawberries and white chocolate instead!
