That feeling when you buy Chocolate Chip flavoured cookie, but you don’t find that taste inside. Because this protein cookie is, well, quite far from being what it says to be. Sorry.
It’s not that I don’t like Oatein-anything. No, no. Their Strawberry Cheesecake flavour flapjack scored really nice 6.8/10 pts in our reviews. And that means it’s (nearly) very good! However, this company has also pretty feeble protein products in its portfolio, like Oats & Protein Cookie Salted Caramel or Oats & Protein Flapjack Chocolate Peanut Butter Flavour. In other words, you must be pretty picky to find something suitable for yourself there. And I will make it even easier for you, as the Chocolate Chip Cookie from Oatein I’m going to review today is nothing you should be bothered about. In opposite to this one, by the way.
Oatein Oats & Protein Cookie Chocolate Flavour is really poor when it comes to its smell. Forget about anything-cookie you know. Instead of that, there’s a whey protein aroma mixed with a sourish sniff. Also, there’s no sweet odour at all. It’s nothing pleasant nor
All right, going further, let’s see what we’ve got here in the matter of taste.
It’s not good. This cookie is thick and seems to be a bit wet. Chocolate chips are barely detectable. Also, it has bitterish aroma and it doesn’t make it too pleasant. And last, but not least, it’s dryish a bit. As a result of that, this cookie is not too pleasant in taste or exciting in its flavour. In other words, it’s nothing to be desirable.
Am I fancy another serving after the first one? It’s not that I definitely don’t want it. It’s rather a feeling of ‘what for?’. Being repeated again and again.
And macros of this snack doesn’t act in favour of it. A 75g cookie has 304 kcal, 11.1g of fat, 32.8g of carbs (including 14g of sugar) and 16.5g of protein. Could be better. Although the ingredients list contains honey, there’s also added sugar and palm fat. Too bad.
Therefore, it can’t be the finest protein cookie on the go.
Oh, Oatein cookie.
Oatein Oats & Protein Cookie Chocolate Chip Flavour. This is it. It’s really hard to find any advantages of this cookie. Maybe it’s softness? And that’s basically it. It’s hard to justify buying it for its smell or flavour, macros or good ingredients. You won’t find any of them here. And I’m starting wondering what that cookie was made for?
Will I ever go back to this protein cookie? Naaah, there are no chances for that. This cookie is just mediocre and life is too short to eat
P.S. Not enough chocolate chips? Why not to have a look at Double Chocolate Chip flavour cookie from this range?
