A pretty good protein bar. With a classic flavour. Too bad it’s not too comfortable to eat. And it ruins nearly everything here.

What I always say – protein bars and other sweets must be tasty. And they also must be comfortable to eat. Some of them, like Optimum Nutrition Chocolate Peanut Butter, are only comfortable to eat. And that’s not too much to score high in our reviews. And this is what we’ve got here. This Nutramino Protein Bar Peanut & Caramel flavour is pretty tasty, but eating it is some kind of a struggle. Too bad, as it’s a pretty delicious protein bar.

And the first impression of this bar is lovely. Once unwrap it, its fragrance is really good. It smells nice with that adorable peanut & caramel combination. And everything would be great here if its texture was good. But it’s not. A decently tough on the outside, this protein bar is toughish on the inside. Therefore, it’s really not too comfortable to eat. Forget then about pleasant biting into it. Or effortless chewing. This snack is really chewy and decently sticky. Therefore, it’s better to have a sip while eating it.

Pretty lovely taste, indeed.

This Nutramino protein bar tastes pretty good. There are both peanut and caramel flavours easily detectable. However, it lacks that specific salty touch from peanuts. Also, ‘milk chocolate flavoured coating’ adds that really nice sweet kick. And there’s no weird aroma or aftertaste. Nice. Therefore, this combination is pretty tasty and it’s middling sweet. But it’s not too sweet. But still, it will make its way as a sweet protein snack.

Do I want another serving of this Nutramino protein bar after the first one? I would, as it’s a pretty tasty protein bar. However, it’s absolutely not too comfortable to eat, so I’ll skip it.

The macros of this bar are so-so. A 60g snack has 246 kcal, 12g of fat, 21g of carbs (including 2.8g of naturally occurring sugar) and 21g of protein. Not too bad. On a par with its ingredients, as there is no added sugar, no palm fat, no syrups. Well done.

Can it be the finest protein bar on the go then? Not actually. The main reason it can’t be is it’s not comfortable to eat.

A pretty tasty protein bar. That you’ll struggle with while eating it.

Nutramino Protein Bar Peanut & Caramel Flavour

Nutramino Protein Bar Peanut & Caramel flavour is a tasty protein bar. It also smells inviting, has not bad macros and not too shabby ingredients. However, what is the worst thing here is its ease of eating. Or rather, lacks of it. And as I don’t like struggling with my protein snack, it’s pretty far from being exciting and enjoyable.

Will I ever go back to this Nutramino protein bar? I would. If it only was more comfortable to eat. But it wasn’t. So I won’t.
