This protein bar tastes like a Million Dollars, baby. The wealthy smell goes along with a rich taste in this snack. And we feel like we could find ourselves pretty comfortable in that state and taste forever.
Let’s start from the end. How this could happen we rated this Macro Munch Millionaires Shortbread bar only for 6.9/10 pts which means it’s just ‘good’? Well, it looks like that richness of flavours wasn’t achieved in a totally transparent way. You see, there are some ingredients on the ingredients list we have some doubts about. We mean added sugar, palm fat and glucose syrup. Hence, our rate when it comes to that criterion was just 3/10 pts which means ‘poor’. And that pulled the overall rate ‘a bit’ dawn, making is slightly lower than 7/10 pts which would mean ‘very good’. Mystery solved.
Okey-dokey. So what made us so exciting about that protein bar? Eventually, its smell is only ‘very good’. And there’s a reason for that, as it could be more intensive. Yes, you can easily detect that specific millionaire’s shortbread scent. But it could be more reach, making that protein snack even more appealing. Because right now we’re not sure it’s like that. It’s just ok, making us not sure whether we want to bite into it or not.
What is really lovely in this bar it’s not too tough both outside and inside.
Furthermore, it’s pretty easy to eat it without any sip. But some may need that, as the bar itself is pretty chewy. Fortunately, it doesn’t want to stick to your teeth too much – just a bit. So let’s see what it’s like!
This. Is. Excellence. This protein bar taste outstanding! If you know what a regular millionaires shortbread tastes like, then… then this one tastes even better! Surprisingly rich flavour is pleasant and satisfyingly sweet, but not oversweet. It was achieved by many factors, including ‘milk chocolate flavoured coating’ sprinkled with toffee pieces. And the chocolate covers soya protein nuggets that were placed over the caramel layer. And that barely noticeable, but pleasurable gritty texture. OMG! Pretty opulently. And tastefully. All that ‘mess’ was absolutely amazingly crafted, making it a magnificent protein treat. That’s why we couldn’t give it any other rate in this criterion than 9/10 pts what means ‘excellent’. Well deserved.
Do we want another serving of this Macro Munch Millionaires Shortbread protein bar after the first one? The answer to this question may be the only one: WE WANT MORE OF IT!
Considering its qualities, we could say macros doesn’t matter here. But to make it clear: a 62g bar has 232 kcal, 8.7g of fat, 16.7g of carbs (including only 2.9g of sugar) and a rounded 20g of protein. Unfortunately, the ingredients list, as you may know already, contains an unholy trinity of added sugar, palm fat and glucose syrup. Well, it looks like that’s the price of being so rich in flavour.
Therefore, no chances to consider it a sustainable protein bar on the go. But would you even bother that in this case?
OMG! It’s a MAGNIFICENT protein bar.
What can we say more? It’s an absolutely amazing, outstanding protein bar that tastes much better you could expect. Pretty easy to eat, rich in taste, delicious, with pretty decent macros. Also, very satisfying when it comes to its sweetness and overall – leaving you with a feeling that it was well worth to give it a try. A must try protein bar, a great stock filler for some, we believe.
Will we ever go back to that protein bar? This is our new favourite protein bar. And if we were fancy something rich-able, it’s going to be this one! Of course, we will! And it will happen sooner than later! As opposed to the other flavour from this range, Crumblin’ Cookies and Cream.
