Plenty of peanuts, with a soft and chewy centre and full with added vitamins and minerals. Add that to great macros and you get a bar is definitely standing out from the crowd!
This is the tenth(!) Fulfil protein bar we have reviewed so far and the fifth one I have reviewed personally. Fulfil stand out from most of the market, as these bars have added vitamins and minerals in them. However, those of you who have eaten enough Fulfil bars will know that although they have these added extras, they are a lot less than they used to be. Now, they only cover 30% of your RI (Reference Intake), appose to the 100% they used to contain a while ago. You kept that one quiet, didn’t you, Fulfil! Anyway, this is Fulfil Chocolate Peanut Butter Vitamin and Protein bar.
The combination of salty and sweet really hits you as you get your nose right into this bar. There is such a lovely smell of rich, roasted peanuts that there really is no mistaking this flavour. Add that to the firm, yet mouldable texture and this bar is a winner for me. It’s sticky, moist and moulds to your mouth, leaving you with a rich aroma of peanuts with every bite. In no way is this Fulfil Chocolate Peanut Butter protein bar dry, even with the generous coating of peanuts which comes with it!
Lashings of chopped peanuts scattered on top a moist, chewy protein bar. I’m feeling very content.
This is almost one of my favourite Fulfil protein bars to date. It’s rich, moist, moreish and actually tastes like what it says it should. Not to mention their addition of added vitamins and minerals (although less than their older bars), it’s still a cut above the rest of the market in this aspect! For me, the combination of salty and sweet flavours together are executed perfectly and left me wanting more. There is almost the slightest hint of a bitter taste. But to be honest, it was virtually non-existent and it didn’t stay with me for long at all. I will go as far as saying I think they could have been a bit better with their chocolate as although you can taste it, it doesn’t really jump out at you. That being said, this bar is super comfortable to eat and had a nice feel about it. Fulfil, hand me another.
Although this bar hasn’t scored a record number, I would still be able to eat another afterwards. There wasn’t anything I didn’t like apart from that ever so slightly bitter taste and the fact I’m not too sure I could taste a lot of chocolate.
As I’ve mentioned above, this bar is different from most with its added vitamins and minerals. Add that to the great macros it packs and its super low sugar. I’d go as far as saying it’s ticking a lot of boxes! A typical (slightly smaller than average) 55g Fulfil Chocolate Peanut Butter protein bar comes with 212kcal, 9.5g fat, 15g carbs (of which 1.8g sugars) and 20g protein. They have put some great macros together and I think this bar is especially great if you’re watching your sugar intake. However, onto their ingredients and it is time for me to be negative, palm oil. I’ll leave it at that. You all know how much it’s a bad ingredient and harms our planet. Just imagine how much is used for the production of these bars globally?!
A protein bar which isn’t scared to go wild with peanuts and throws in vitamins and minerals just for fun! Fulfil are taking over!
For me, this was a pretty tasty bar with lots of rich peanuts and a nice, soft, chewy centre. Although it has a slightly bitter taste which comes through a tiny amount, it doesn’t stay in your mouth long enough to be too negative about it. Its macros are great, they’ve added extra nutrients and their sugar content is super low. This is a good bar!
Would I come back to this Fulfil Chocolate Peanut Butter protein bar again? Yes, I would! It was rather tasty and worked within my macros, so why not?!
