Totally surprising and refreshing – this is what I would call this vegan BodyMe protein bar in short. It’s nothing you’ll find anywhere else. And it’s pretty hard to find any flaw in it. Well done, BodyMe. Again!
BodyMe is a company that doesn’t seem afraid of making new and surprisingly tasty combinations of flavours. It’s enough to mention their Turmeric Lemon protein bar. Also, Cacao Mint and (what a surprise!) Cacao Orange ones are the ones you shouldn’t miss. And now, Maca Cinnamon joins the club of the bars you must try at least once. Seriously, as you won’t find such a flavour anywhere else.
What’s that ‘maca’? It’s a Peruvian plant grown in the Andes mountains. It is a cruciferous vegetable, meaning that it is related to broccoli, cabbage and kale. That sounds interesting, doesn’t it? And that’s what the smell of this BodyMe protein bar is. It’s pleasant, easily noticeable and refreshing. And thanks to that uniqueness, it’s undoubtedly inviting. A pretty softish on the outside, this protein bar is on a par with it on the inside. That means not much problem with biting into it. Also, it’s middling chewy (not too much) and a bit sticky, but it’s not an issue by any means. More than that, it’s pretty moist — a really good pre-eating experience.
Unusual, surprising and refreshing flavour worth giving it a try.
That’s it. This BodyMe vegan protein bar is surprising in its flavour. It’s unusual, it’s refreshing and it’s something you may like. There’s a decently detectable and flavourish aroma in this bar. And it’s well balanced. Also, it’s pleasantly refreshing. Especially if you’re fed up with the sweetness of other protein bars. The bar itself is only sweetish, but I believe it was done here for a purpose. And that’s great, as there’s no need of more sweetness in it. Also, there’s no weird aroma or aftertaste in it! And putting all these facts together, we get a protein bar that might be a satisfying one for many!
Do I want another serving of this BodyMe Maca Cinnamon protein bar right after the first one? Nearly I do. The thing is, its flavour is so unique it’s not worth to stuff with it.
When it comes to macros, it’s vegan-like. In a word, a 60g bar delivers 250 kcal, 10.1g of fat, 22g of carbs (including 16.4g of naturally occurring sugar) and an OK-ish 16g of protein. The ingredients list is all-natural and there’s no added sugar, no palm fat or any syrups. Well done!
An excellent vegan protein bar. Well worth to give it a try.
This BodyMe Organic Vegan Protein Bar Maca Cinnamon is surprising in many, many aspects. The smell, texture, taste(!), ingredients and overall experience. It’s hard (or instead, it’s impossible) to find a weak spot in here. Also, it’s pretty comfortable to eat. Is it perfect, then? Nearly. The only thing I would improve here is macros. However, in this case, these are the last thing you should worry about, as they’re still pretty good.
Will I ever go back to this BodyMe Maca Cinnamon protein bar? There are high chances for that! It’s decently tasty, it’s refreshing and that a couple of extra calories doesn’t matter here at all!
