Sweet + Salty flavour? I’m all in! And as I had not much expectation regarding this protein bar, it turned out to be surprisingly good and tasty. Can I have another one, please?
This is not a Battle Bites snack you already know. It has recently changed slightly, becoming
2 Protein Pieces a High Protein Bar. Still, in two pieces. Still, helping you to manage servings. So, instead of eating two of them straight away, you can easily eat like three or five of them. As simple as that. Thanks, Battle Bites! Anyway, Battle Bites are overall decently tasty, and it looks like you can’t go (much) wrong with any of them. Now, it turns out Battle Bites High Protein Bar Caramel Pretzel is one of the best out of them. Nice.
This Caramel Pretzel protein bar smells lovely. There’s a lot of salted caramel whiff in it. However, I slightly lacked at least a touch of sweetness. But that’s OK, as it’s still tempting. A pretty softish on the outside, this protein bar is decently soft on the inside. That means no problem with biting into it. Also, it’s just slightly chewy and a bit sticky. But again, it’s nothing you should worry about here. To sum it up, its texture is really nice, and it’s effortless to eat. I like it. Oh, there are some sprinkles on the top, but they’re not much disturbing like in this one.
Oh, dear. This is a lovely flavourish Battle Bites bar!
Where to start? This protein bar is a decently tasty one. It has a robust, deep and rich flavour of caramel and pretzels. Both flavours are perfectly balanced, which does a great job here and makes this bar a highly enjoyable one. Also, there’s no weird aroma or aftertaste. And I liked it. More than that, this protein bar is noticeably sweet, but there’s still a margin to call it oversweet. Therefore, it’s a satisfying protein bar with no flaws in its flavour. Brilliant.
Do I want another serving of this Battle Bites protein bar right after the first one? Sure, I do! Can I have at least one more, please?
Macro wise it’s pretty OK. Two pieces of 31g each (62g all together) has a pretty reasonable 220 kcal, 8g of fat, 16.2g of carbs (including only 2g of sugar) and 20.6g of protein. Not too bad. The ingredients list, however, is sooo looong it’s pretty easy to get lost in it (where’s my
drugs ingredients encyclopedia?). The worst part of it? Palm oil. And I don’t like it.
A caramel pretzel flavour at its finest!
Oh, dear. Battle Bites High Protein Bar Caramel Pretzel is one of the best matching flavours on the market. It promises to be caramel pretzel, and it exactly is like that! What can I say more? It’s delicious, it’s comfortable to eat, it’s nicely sweet and it has pretty good macros. The only flaw in it? It has palm oil in the ingredients. So the final question is…
Will I ever go back to this Battle Bites
2 Protein Pieces protein bar? Yes, there’s palm oil in it. However, considering its taste, I’m pretty ready to turn a blind eye to it and there are high chances I will eventually come back to this lovely protein bar.
