They’re back. Two protein pieces of Battle Bites. They come in Choc Coconut flavour and they do the job. Pretty good job. And I’m not surprised at all. But it could be slightly better, though.
The worst 2 Protein Pieces is a heaven for some other protein snack makers. How the other way would you describe a range in which ‘the worst’ protein bar so far scored overall 6.7/10 pts? This happened to Mississippi Mud Pie flavour one. The other one, Frosted Carrot Cake, landed at pretty nice 7.3/10 pts. Now, it’s time for Battle Bites 2 Protein Pieces Choc Coconut. And, let me say it a bit too early perhaps, but it scored overall somewhat attractive more than 7/10 pts. Nice, nice.
It paid my attention straight after unwrapping it. A pretty admirable choc and coconut aroma were what I noticed first. And it was pretty inviting. On a par with its texture, as these protein pieces are soft both on the outside and inside. However, they’re also somewhat chewy and decently sticky, which might slightly affect the texture experience. Is it bad? Well, it’s up to you. But personally, I couldn’t complain about it. Same as about its perfect moistness.
Choc and coconut. Not perfect, but decently good composition.
These 2 protein pieces taste really good. There are easily detectable flavours of choc and coconut. And they’re being bumped by decently sweet caramel layer underneath the ‘milk chocolate flavour coating’. Is that combination delightful? It’s supposed to be like that, but desiccated coconut on top of these pieces nicely overcome it. Therefore, these pieces are decently sweet, but still not oversweet. Also, there’s no weird aroma or aftertaste. Therefore, these pieces are pleasantly sweet and satisfying.
Do I want another serving of these Battle Bites 2 protein pieces Choc Coconut bar straight after the first one? Not actually. They were lovely tasty and decently sweet. And as they’re satisfying ones, one serving of two squares is perfectly fine for me.
When it comes to macros, it’s not too bad. One serving of two pieces has 236 kcal, 10.5g of fat, 14.3g of carbs (including only 2.5g of sugar) and a rounded 20g of protein. Not that terrible. The ingredients list is sooo looong and it contains palm fat. Well, it could be better here for sure.
A decently sweet and tasty protein snack.
Battle Bites 2 Protein Pieces Choc Coconut. Well, that’s what I expected here. They’re decently sweet, tasty and easy to eat. They also have not bad macros. And the only thing I would want here to have better is the ingredients list. But still, it’s not terrible in that matter anyway.
Will I ever go back to these 2 protein pieces? Yep, there are chances for that. It’s not my favourite flavour from the range for sure. But it was done nearly perfectly. And good enough to say ‘it was pretty good, well worth to give it a try’. Even if this flavour is not your cup of tea, too.
